Be Sensitive Be Brave

Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Awareness for Community Members
Be Sensitive, Be Brave (BSBB) is our introductory 101-level training suite designed to raise awareness and support among community members, and you get to decide which community. We currently offer BSBB for two topic areas: suicide prevention and general mental health. Are you a member of the general public who wants to better support people who experience these challenges? Are you a family member of someone who has mental health challenges or who struggles with suicidal thoughts? Are you looking for a training for your organization’s non-licensed staff? BSBB can introduce any of you and more to both mental health broadly, and suicide prevention more specifically.

SP201

Advanced Suicide Prevention for Mental Health Providers
Suicide Prevention 201 is our advanced mental health provider-level training. Learn to integrate the cultural theory and model of suicide in your practice. Address liability risk while enhancing patient care by leveraging knowledge and practices from the field of forensic psychology. And, routinize your evaluation and documentation process so you can spend more time engaging diverse patients who present with risk. Courses offered in-person online and off, and asynchronously online. Coming soon is our followup SP202 Workshop designed as an optional advanced practical followup to the original course.

PTSD & Crisis Deescalation Courses for Law Enforcement

We have years of experience developing, researching, and providing a number of training programs for law enforcement officers and related personnel. Topics include Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a well-known mental health challenge facing many individuals and communities, among them military veterans and first responders, and Implicit Bias, a highly-politicized topic that actually contains important implications for officer safety and sworn responsibilities. These courses are often among the top-rated courses across multiple formal Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) programs, but have also been delivered independently. Contact us here if you’re interested in this course. Live online and in-person options are available, and we can work with you to obtain POST credit approval.
